Alien Bazar

by Rada

“Alien Bazar” is the fourth and last single presented by El Palmas Music from its awaited second production Rada: Tropical Cosmic Sounds From Space, a compilation from the main work of the electroacoustic experimentalist, Angel Rada. “Alien Bazar”, part of Armagedon & The Third Wave Revolution (1987) is an impressive premonition of the Berlin wall fall in which Rada provides us a luminous piece, a counterpoint to the impact that a visit to East Berlin had caused on him. There are moments of light in “Alien Bazar” confronting the lonely and unstable main melody, but everything rests on an unstoppable horse riding beat cycle always going forward.

At times, certain phrases bring us more optimistic scales, like a counterculture movement that blooms in basements not fearing death, clandestine parties with a constant anxiety. Armagedon presented a rather academic air and at the same time, an important leap in Rada’s sound due to his consistent technological updates. It is also a reference to his own feeling of disgust before the human being’s desire to manipulate the natural balance, which in his words would be described as “its attachment to absurd canons, to artificial beliefs”.
